We just had a small discussion at the office on the subject of this American Appy ad (larger version). Is this okay or just plain wrong?

I’d say it’s okay. Sure the lace over pubes thingy raises some mixed feelings. On the other hand it’s 2011, she’s pretty cute and at the beach so probably about to take a swim. Ever took a dive in salt water after shaving? Exactly.

Cut Chemist: former Jurassic 5 member, beatmaker and a bit nerdy guy with some sickening skills on the wheels of steel and the musical knowledge to keep spinning forever.

The guy made these two mixtapes for, actually I don’t know for what and don’t really care. I do know I likes the concept behind the tapes and the awesomely solid they’re mixed together. I don’t have tracklists but the tapes titles speak for themselves really.

Disco is Dead. Disco music from 1973 – 1978 all night long. That music your dad played when you was a kid but with a better selection and without the 5 minute outro’s.

Hip hop lives! All 1985 – 1996 everything. You know this, if else get skooled fool!

Scott Schuman aka The Sartorialist speaks on his past, photography and what he thinks is estyle. We see him in the streets, in his NY loft and in a cab. Short but sweet. I love these tasty mini-docs.

I must admit I don’t regurly check back on The Sartorialist anymore. I love the blog, have the book and see Scott as one of the greatest style-bloggers out there, but somehow I don’t feel the urge to check back reguraly. It’s kinda like you’ve seen it all at some point. The point where everything blurs and becomes the same. The point where you get a bit bored and start looking for something new.

PS. Yo Intel I loves your processors and whatnot your making to make my life easier and my laptop faster. But I have utterly no fuckin’ clue why you’re visually branding your company like this. A ‘ Visual Life’ is a weak link, you’re making processors not camera’s. Thanks.

I wanted to take this moment to thank Carlos Nunez for his beautiful blog and photography. I don’t know how the guy does it but I somewhat think he captures his models inner beauty through their hot, wet and naked bodies. Nudity times personality. Kinda what Terry does, but more subtle.

I watched Tom Ford’s A Single Man (trailer) a few back and really enjoyed it. It’s a bit tardy but has lovely images, a more than fancy wardrobe and beautiful styling. Don’t let the mano-a-mano romanticism stand in the way of you and watching this movie.

Anyways, one of the most interesting garments displayed in this beautiful fucker was the bearly pink Angora wool sweater a young Nicholas Hoult was wearing. I really fucking suck when it comes to buying knitwear (can’t seem to find the right fit, ever, and I really fear the itch) but despite I love this fluffy (it’s so fluffy!) messy fabric.

Some internet research told me it was a recreation of some sort of 60s piece, but it also let me to the J. Press ‘Shaggy Dog’ sweater. The fit is a bit more me, the colors and the fabric a – how should I put this – for the straight man and the colors a bit more for everybody.

They have ‘em on sale at the J. Press webstore at the moment. With some cold still ahead of us this might not be the worst purchase ever.

Cool story but the pictures themselves are something else. I love the stories, people and eye for details. The world was so different back then. Truly fascinating.
